A procedural change has been made by Charles Cambell, KC5EZZ, Cody Brannon, KE5LGG and the National Weather Service (NWS) in San Angelo to the link repeater system for Abilene SKYWARN area. The UHF 444.250 MHz repeater at Trent has been removed as the link between Abilene SKYWARN Net Control Station and the NWS in San Angelo. The new repeater link has changed to the UHF 443.100 MHz Repeater at Potosi for the Abilene SKYWARN Net Control Station and the NWS in San Angelo.

If Abilene SKYWARN is activated for the Abilene area on any Tuesday at or near the 8:00 pm (2000 hours) then the Taylor/Jones/Callahan and Shackleford County ARES/RACES net WILL BE SUSPENDED. ABILENE SKYWARN ACTIVITIES HAVE PRIORITY ON THE UHF 443.100 MHz REPEATER. NOTE: The UHF Repeater 443.100 MHz link is ONLY for Abilene SKYWARN Net Control Station and the NWS in San Angelo. NO SKYWARN spotter activity will be conducted on the UHF 443.100 repeater. Abilene SKYWARN spotter activity will be conducted on the VHF 146.760 MHz repeater.
