KCARC Bandettes Enjoy First Outing at Morgan Jones Planetarium
KJ5DMP, WL7KS, KD5IL, and KD6YLQ enjoyed the first official outing of the KCARC Bandettes on Friday night, February 20, 2026, at the Morgan Jones Planetarium in Abilene, TX. The group attended One Sky Project, an immersive program featuring stories and perspectives from astronomers around the world, celebrating our shared connection to the night sky.
They also viewed NASA’s moving tribute honoring fallen astronauts, adding a meaningful and reflective note to the evening.
The next outing will be Saturday, March 14, 2026, with dinner at 6:00 p.m. at Galveston Seafood & Grill on Buffalo Gap. Denise will send an email closer to the date to confirm numbers for the reservation.
KCARC meets the 2nd Monday of the month [except December] at 7:00 pm.
